Red Flag Warning

A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 1pm to 7pm today for areas roughly along and southwest of a line from Kearney, NE to Jewell, KS. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts of 30 to 35 mph combined with relative humidity values of 15 to 20% will lead to critical fire weather conditions this afternoon. Near-critical fire weather conditions are possible outside of the Red Flag warning due to low relative humidity values and gusty winds.
