Johnson Guilty On Six Of Eight Charges In 2020 Shooting
A jury found Antoine Johnson, the man involved in the shooting death of Gary Zierke III nearly one year ago, guilty on the majority of the counts he was being tried for.
The jury found Johnson guilty of a lesser charge of attempted second degree murder.
He was also found guilty for use of a deadly weapon, assault, use of deadly weapon to commit assault, discharging a weapon, and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
He was found not guilty of kidnapping and use of a deadly weapon to commit kidnapping.
The shooting occurred at the intersection of Sycamore and Oklahoma on May 28th.
Johnson will be sentenced on July 21st.
