Gov. Pillen and NSP Colonel Bolduc to Recognize Paul Contreras

LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen will join Colonel John Bolduc, superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol in a special recognition ceremony for Paul Contreras of Bellevue. The event is scheduled Thursday, April 4 at 3:00 p.m. in the Warner Chamber of the State Capitol.

Contreras was with his daughters at the celebratory parade in Kansas City, Missouri, marking the Chief’s recent victory in the Super Bowl, when shots rang out. Acting quickly, Contreras tackled someone thought to be armed and involved in the incident, holding him until police arrived.

Gov. Pillen and Colonel Bolduc will present Contreras with the Nebraska State Patrol Public Service Award in recognition of his heroic actions.
