GICC Basketball Sweeps Hershey

GICC boys take on Hershey Saturday night at Crusader Gym.

(Grand Island, NE) - After picking up wins on Friday night at Lexington, both GICC varsity basketball teams picked up wins on Saturday night hosting Hershey. The GICC girls downed the Panthers 44-25. The Crusader boys would follow up the girl's game with a dominating 69-29 victory. 

The Crusader girls have now won 14 in a row and move their record to 19-1. The GICC boys are on a three-game winning streak with wins this week vs Aquinas, Lexington, and Hershey. Both squads will be back in action hosting St Cecilia on Thursday, February 8th. Listen live on KRGI 1430/105.5 & krgi.com. Girls' game at 6:00 pm with the boys' game to follow at 7:45 pm. It will be the final time that both teams will play on the same night together.
