GICC Basketball Downs Lexington

(Lexington, NE) - The Grand Island Central Catholic basketball teams made the varsity sweep at Lexington on Friday night. The GICC claimed the girl's game 53-25 and the GICC boys downed the Minutemen 52-25. The Central Catholic girls won their 13th game in a row and are now 18-1 on the season. With the win for the Crusader boys, they have now won two in a row after the win Monday night over Aquinas, 56-51. It's the first time this season that the GICC boys have won two games in a row and are now 7-10 on the season. 

Central Catholic will now host Hershey on Saturday, February 3rd at Crusader Gym. The girl's game is set for 6:00 pm with the boy's game to follow at 7:45 pm. Listen to both games live on KRGI 1430/105.5 & krgi.com.
