Cats sweep Gibbon for 1st win of season

The St. Paul Wildcat Basketball teams picked up their first wins of the season Thursday evening sweeping the Gibbon Buffaloes in Gibbon.

On the girl's side of things Natalie Poss, Gracie Kelley and Addy Wegner all posted double digit point totals as the Lady Cats defeated Gibbon 60-22. It was an offensive output for St. Paul as 10 of 13 Cats that played in the contest were able to find their way in the scoring column. With the win Kevin Brandt picks up his first win as head coach of the Girls program.

The St. Paul Boys got off to a quick start in the 1st half outscoring Gibbon 48-11 enroute to a 70-29 victory. Joel Shaffer, Sam Wells, and Levi Bader posted double digits for the Cats. Chip Bahe picks up win number 301 in his career as a head coach, his first with St. Paul. 11 of 13 Cats scored in the winning effort.
